When Should You Repair Your Blow Mould?
A well-maintained blow mould should last 500,000 to 1,000,000+ cycles. But in real factory conditions — misaligned machines, improper preform temperature, cooling water quality issues and normal wear — moulds can develop problems much earlier. Recognising the signs early and repairing promptly can save you from scrapping the entire mould.

- Parting Line Flash: Excessive flash at seam — caused by worn parting faces, which we re-grind and re-fit
- Neck Finish Damage: Chipped or worn thread profiles causing leaking caps — we re-cut using precision CNC
- Base Insert Wear: Worn petaloid or flat base inserts causing base leaks — we replace inserts
- Cooling Channel Blockage: Choked water channels causing uneven wall thickness — we chemically descale and flush
- Cavity Dents / Impacts: Caused by preform drops or machine crashes — TIG weld repair and re-machine
- Vent Hole Cleaning: Blocked vents causing orange peel finish — CNC re-drill and clean
- Hinge / Guide Pin Wear: Sloppy mould alignment — we replace guide pins and bushings
Our Repair Process — 5 to 10 Days Turnaround
When you send us your mould, our team conducts a full inspection and sends you a written repair report with photos and estimated cost before any work begins. Upon your approval, we proceed with the repair and return the mould fully tested within 5–10 working days.
- Day 1: Mould received, inspection and report sent
- Day 2: Client approval received, work begins
- Days 2–8: Machining, welding, polishing, assembly
- Day 9: Trial blow on in-house machine
- Day 10: Dispatch with repair report and test bottle samples
